Get to know us!
Little Bridges was founded by Markus Schwarz (Austria) and Omar Abdalla (Egypt), who brought together their shared passion for recreational education, intercultural exchange, and creating meaningful experiences for children. What began as a common vision grew out of their years of working side by side leading holiday camps in Austria.
They believe that offering children lasting, impactful perspectives—experiences that have the power to shape their future—is at the heart of what a great camp experience should be. Through their work, they discovered that when fun is placed at the center of learning, it becomes possible to naturally foster social skills, character development, and lasting confidence—while creating memories that stay with children for years to come.

Omar
Omar is a DEO Cairo alumnus with degrees in Mass Communication, International Development, and Recreational Education. He has several years of experience in international affairs and has led holiday camps in Austria for many years. A passionate musician, he brings creativity and energy to his work, creating a space where children feel confident to explore and express themselves. Omar loves movement and the outdoors—boxing, cycling, windsurfing, and beach adventures are all part of how he inspires children to stay active, curious, and engaged.
Markus
Markus is a native of Vienna and a qualified teacher of Geography and History. For several years, he has been organizing and leading holiday camps for children in Austria. As a passionate drummer, he brings creativity and a strong sense of rhythm into his work. Creating a welcoming environment where children feel comfortable, express themselves, and discover their own ideas is especially important to him. Markus also enjoys spending time outdoors and sharing his love for nature with the children. Exploring, moving, and discovering new things together are key elements of what he considers a great camp experience.

Enrolled in the teacher’s program for inclusive pedagogy and English, she has spent the past three years working with children and has become increasingly passionate about creating fun, engaging, and multi-faceted learning experiences.
